Manhattan Arts International’s Healing Power of Color 2023 Exhibition is now live–and one of my photographs is included! According to the event’s web site, entrants were judged on innovative use of color, technical skills, and their accompanying statement explaining their use of color. The exhibition runs from May 8 through June 8, 2023. If you haven’t yet visited, I highly recommend taking a look.
My entry, entitled “Magmic Light”, is a photograph I took deep within a slot canyon in Arizona–and is the main image you see at the top of this blog post. By capturing the light entering the slot canyon from the side, it appears almost as lava flowing through a tube (hence the “magmic” referring to a magma-like substance).
This particular image is one of a series of photographs I took within different slot canyons as part of a larger voyage I undertook in 2022 to visit many areas within the American Canyonlands. The complete gallery can be viewed here.
